A qualified Architect and a true entrepreneur with flexible business skills, Dolph took a new direction during the recession of 1991 and opened a t-shirt shop, called Withit. He went on to open more shops as well as a wholesale business before moving into Licensing.

His passion for business combined with his warm smile and caring demeanor have always made him popular and respected.

Working in a variety of jobs from construction to computer programming, Brad decided he wanted a more creative career and taught himself to print and design t-shirts. Selling at craft shows and street markets around the country. Attention to detail and a keen interest in all things art and design inspire him to keep evolving and creating fresh ideas and artwork.

Brad has been designing for Dolph since 1991 before they became business partners in 1996. He heads up all design, style guides and approvals.

At present all Withit Studios products are sold directly by other retailers. We do however have a new small collection of t-shirts available on Etsy

LICENSING

Licensing is the process by which we allow another company, usually the manufacturer of a product (who we call call the licensee), to design and manufacture their own products featuring our characters and artwork.

To enquire about licensing opportunities, please fill in our contact form.

That manufacturer can then sell those products on to retailers who in turn sell to it the public.

In return for the use of our artwork, the manufacturer or licensee would pay a royalty to Withit Studios (called the licensor) for every item sold. Withit Studios have licensed brands since 2001, securing deals in over 30 countries around the world, from socks to watches, nightwear and stationery.

Some of these deals are done directly by us and others via our International Licensing Agents.

Products on to retailers who in turn sell to it the public.

Withit Studios works closely with appointed Agencies around the world to manage their licensing deals. In the UK we use CentaIP, a Premier Licensing Company representing new and exciting Children’s Entertainment and Design, Lifestyle and Luxury properties, delivering innovative, world-class licensing solutions.

Their industry expertise includes retail sales & merchandising, franchise planning, marketing, product development, new media activation

STRATEGY

We are designing and developing a refreshed licensing programme to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the WITHIT brand in 2021. The new product designs embrace the original core brand whilst keeping current with an on-trend design approach and colourways.

Our licensing programme offers our licensees greater flexibility in terms of scope to sell so they are able to supply product to our global online retail partner as well as supplying direct to retailers or even direct to consumers. Our royalty rates are very attractive and we offer our manufacturers a huge amount of support and back up by way of flexibility, bespoke designs, style guides and artwork capability to ensure that they have the tools to develop a full and diverse product line to suit every occasion and every retailer.

As part of this multi pronged approach, we are also working directly with retailers. Withit Studios has successfully executed this direct to retail approach many times with a variety or retailers, from C&A to WHSmiths and Burger King to name a few. Dealing directly enables a retailer to create its ‘own’ look, to achieve an improved margin and offer its customers an exclusivity in terms of design and product range.

SOURCING

Withit Studios works with manufacturers in the UK, Hong Kong and Turkey. These business relationships enable us to develop a broad range of products for our clients. Whether it be a bag, stationery range or area of apparel we are able to develop a range to suit the needs of our client base.

Our relationship with our partner in Hong Kong enables us to sell through their global retail online platforms. Working with audited companies to make sure that the staff and ethics meet quality standards to create calibre products to our designs and specifications.With the growing demand for home made, UK products, we also work with manufacturers in the UK’s apparel sector.

Working with fabrics woven in the UK as well as being cut and sewn into garments. We also have established relationships with embroidery and print facilities to give a quality UK finished apparel line.
